Children, Teens and Families
Is your family struggling to understand and live with the diagnosis of ADHD? Are you searching for effective, compassionate parenting tools that actually work? In my 30+ years of clinical practice, I have developed an expertise working with children and their families to reduce arguing and increase respectful, loving connections.
Families are a unit with each person impacting the mental health and well-being of the others. To help resolve the challenges ADHD brings to a family, we look at the whole family to help guide solutions. My style is collaborative. That means, I work with kids to understand how their unique brain works, and let me tell you, every brain is different.
When we do this as a team, we’re able to identify strengths and manage challenges more successfully. To meet your specific needs, I offer a range of solutions that you can explore below.
In addition to psychotherapy, I also offer online consulting for parents or individuals. These sessions can support you in assessing your situation, exploring new strategies to manage your symptoms and create solutions for your best next steps. Consulting is more psychoeducational in nature and IS meant to inform and educate so you’re more empowered to make healthy decisions in the future.

Psychotherapy For ADHD & Other Neurodivergent Challenges
ADHD rarely travels alone. It is often accompanied by anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, twice exceptionality or autism. Psychotherapy can help.
I maintain a private practice in Northampton, Massachusetts where I work with neurodivergent children, adolescents, adults and families who are experiencing challenges at home, with friends, at school or at work.
My deep hope is that people can discover and develop their strengths, learn to understand their unique brains, reduce their suffering, and feel good about all aspects of who they are. This may sound like a tall order, but it is absolutely attainable.
Clinically, I use a positive psychology approach designed to help you life with more authenticity, empowerment, competency and connection. I base my work on systems theory, insight-oriented psychotherapy, cognitive behavior therapy and mindfulness… all grounded in research and over thirty years of clinical experience.
